Banner Wireless I/O Products
PICS, Inc proudly distributes products from Banner, a global leader in industrial and process wireless automation. Banner's performance gateway and nodes offer increased range with a 900MHz frequency. The nodes consists of analog, discrete temperature and serial inputs and outputs. Systems are available in both 900MHz and 2.4GHz depending what your requirements. We also offer Banner's SureCross Performance Gateways and Nodes, which have high density I/O, up to 12 discrete inputs or outputs or up to four temperature inputs. Analog inputs can be field selectable either voltage or current. SureCross MultiHop Radios offer a greater range than conventional Sure Cross Performance Radios. These MultiHop Radios can act as a master radio, repeater or a slave radio. Finally, the SureCross DX70 Point to Point Radio offer remote data acquisition and bidirectional I/O for ease of installation.

Banner Wireless I/O Networks
SureCross Performance Gateways with Integrated Modbus RTU
- Performance gateways allow increased range up to six miles, and operates at one Watt
- Current or Voltage can be set in the field with the universal analog inputs
- This gateway has up to 12 inputs and outputs and also four temperature inputs (thermocouple or RTD), with its high density I/O capacity.
- Optional “E” housing model has an internal battery
- Selection between mA or V dc
Performance GatewayPro and DX83 Protocol Converters - Allows connection to an Ethernet network for running Modbus/TCP or EtherNet/IP protocols.
SureCross DX80, 150 mW Radios
- The gateway system controller collects data gathered from nodes that monitor or control I/O in remote locations
- Transmit power levels up to one Watt; license-free operation up to 4 Watt EIRP
- 10 to 30V dc, solar, or battery power sources
- FlexPower Nodes and basic nodes may be combined in each network
- Gateways connect to Modbus RTU, EtherNe/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, and other industrial protocols
DX80 Gateways and Nodes with Analog I/O
DX80 Nodes with Counter Inputs
DX80 Nodes with Temperature and Humidity Inputs
SureCross DX99 Intrinsically Safe FlexPower Nodes

- The network is formed by the master radio and up to 50 MultiHop repeater or slave radios
- Extended range with multiple hops
- Link performance is improved with message routing
- Assessment of a location’s RF transmission properties with site and survey mode
MultiHop Radios with I/O
MultiHop Radio Communication
DX85 Modbus RTU Remote I/O
SureCross Ethernet Radio
- Creates point-to-multipoint configurations for wireless Ethernet networks
- RF transmission rate of 1.536 Mb/s and a throughput of 935 Kb/s
- Ethernet data packets secured with 128 AES encryption
- Point-to-multipoint configurations are possible with up to 16 subscriber units
- You can configure it via an internal webpage
SureCross DX70 Point-to-Point I/O Wireless Pairs
Point-to-Point is the simplest form of wireless I/O technology. The DX70 Family offers most beginners an easy path to installation and start-up with direct I/O mapping. The DX70 features a system of two radio devices and configured I/O, these devices are able to run in most evironments where it is neccissary for you to monitor your process
- Economical wireless I/O solution
- Includes a gateway and a node that operate in the same radio frequency
- Flexible design allows inputs from sensors and devices made by Banner and other manufacturers
- Simple, quick, and easy installation
Wireless Q45 Sensors:
The Q45 is the first self enclosed wireless photoelectric sensor. This means that there are no wires, no cordsets or a need for external power. These devices are made for challenging monitoring and control applications. They are also easily setup, and Banner offers a tutorial video to speed up setup even more. With two differing gateway models, the Q, and the B2Q series, you can either have a two point system or up to a six point system of sensors. Other features include:
- True self-contained wireless with no cables, cordsets or external power
- 1 km line-of-sight
- Built-in antenna
- 2.4 GHz unlicensed frequency
- Used exclusively with Banner’s Wireless Gateways
Performance Gateways and Nodes:
These Gateways are master devices controling input to output mapping autonomously in a star topology. Have an increased range in the 900 MHz frequency band. Performance Gateway and Nodes offer increased range with a 900MHz frequency. The nodes consist of analog, discrete temperature and serial nputs and outputs. Systems are available in both 900MHz and 2.4GHz depending upon your requirements. SureCross Performance Gateways and Nodes Offer high density I/O, up to 12 discrete inputs or outputs or up to four temperature inputs Analog inputs can be field selectable, either voltage or current. Made to work with your SureCross Performance Nodes but can also be made to work with other DX80 nodes. Other features include:
MultiHop Modbus Radios with I/O:
SureCross MultiHop Radios Offer extended range, more than conventional Sure Cross Performance Radios. These MultiHop Radios can act as a master radio, repeater or a slave radio SureCross DX70 Point to Point Radios Offer remote data acquisition Offer bidirectional I/O for ease of installation. Other features include:
- Self-healing, auto routing RF network with multiple hops extends the network’s range
- Flexible: dip switch selectable to be a master, repeater or slave
- User-selectable communication between RS-485 and RS-232
